York National Railway Museum
The BAC are delighted to be hosting our annual scientific meeting and AGM on Saturday 4th November 2017 at the unique National Railway Museum in York.
With so much change in the world of cytology, the planning team have been determined to keep delegate booking fees as low as possible – members of the BAC will pay just £40 for this day event.
The programme promises to deliver a series of talks which should give delegates some ideas and suggestions to inspire them to explore all available options for cytologists working in the HPV PS era, whether their lab is to become an HPV PS site or not.
In addition there will be a repeat of the excellent ‘double-act’ animated presentation given at the ECC in Liverpool last year by Professor Fischer from the USA and Professor Vaux from Oxford. This was one of the most highly rated presentations of the whole ECC and we are delighted they have agreed to present it again for a wider UK audience. It will appeal to scientists and cytologists of all grades and professional backgrounds, and anyone with an interest in the aetiology of cancer.
The prestigious Erica Wachtel lecture will this year be given by Julietta Patnick, CBE, former Director of the NHS Cancer Screening Programmes, who will not only reflect on the past achievements and successes of the screening programmes but also give a personal view of what they may look like in the future, especially the cervical screening programme.
Booking is now live, with completed registration forms to be sent to Christian Burt, BAC, 12 Coldbath Square London EC1R 5HL.
