Acta Cytologica, the official journal of the International Academy of Cytology, lost its Journal Impact Factor in 2014.
We have objected by lodging a formal appeal to Clarivate Analytics, the company currently responsible for Impact Factor statistics. To find out more about this, please read the Publisher's Note of the upcoming Special Topic Issue 'The Six Decades of Acta Cytologica'
Clarivate Analytics responded very quickly and will re-evaluate its decision in the first quarter of 2018. In such cases, they strongly rely on opinions of experts in the field. With this in mind, we've started a petition. If you want to support Acta Cytologica in the pursuit of regaining the Journal Impact Factor, and you believe it is a valued, high-quality scientific journal, please sign our petition and you may also leave a comment under the following link: www.ipetitions.com/petition/acta.
We thank you for your commitment to this worthy cause
