Inequalities in Healthcare Alliance - Letter to the Prime Minister
The BAC are proud to be one of 92 IHA members to sign this letter to the Prime Minister today
As a member of the Inequalities in Health Alliance (IHA), we've co-signed a letter to the Prime Minister calling for an explicit health inequalities strategy, that considers the role of every department and every available policy lever in tackling health disparities
The best way to improve health is to focus on the factors which shape it. As a member of the IHA, we believe a cross-government strategy is the only way to address the underlying causes of health inequalities
Many deaths could have been prevented if there had been better levels of general health before the pandemic. That's why, as a member of the IHA, we're calling for a cross-government strategy to reduce health inequalities.
“The BAC unequivocally supports the aims of the IHA and, in particular, the creation of a cross-government strategy to reduce health inequalities. Many of our members work in the cervical screening programme and are active, with government agencies, in encouraging screening uptake across all social groups.”
