ACCEA process for 2019 round

The BAC have now had confirmation from the Advisory Committee on Clinical Excellence Awards (ACCEA) of the opening and closing dates for the next round of national awards in England and Wales

The 2019 Clinical Excellence Awards round will open on Thursday 7 February 2019 and close at 5pm on Thursday 4 April 2019

As a nominating body the BAC can support a limited number of members' new and renewal applications and the BAC would be pleased to receive your application. However the deadline is tight and the closing date for seeking BAC support must be some weeks in advance ACCEA's final deadline above. This is to allow us time to assess and score applications and production/submission of supporting citations.  If we receive more applications than we can support, any support will be given to be higher ranking applications after scoring.

For potential BAC support your CEA application form and supporting letter must be sent to paul.cross1@nhs.net by 5pm on Friday March 8th. Please use the relevant ACCEA form for your application, see link below.

We will be very busy after this deadline in processing applications and so any late applications, or ones which are not accompanied by the appropriate documents, can not be supported. Please ensure that documents are sent to the above email address by the stated deadline.

We will require a completed ACCEA form, complying with their character requirements, and an accompanying letter indicating why you feel the BAC should support your application. The authoritative source of information for the English scheme is the website of the Advisory Committee on Clinical Excellence Awards (ACCEA) at:

Good luck!
